Overview

Kencko is a health-focused food company dedicated to making plant-based nutrition more accessible & sustainable. Founded by Tomás Froes, who turned to a plant-rich diet to manage his acute gastritis, Kencko offers instant smoothies, snacks, & meals made from organic fruits & vegetables . Their products are created by flash-freezing & slow-drying fresh produce to retain nutrients & fiber, resulting in convenient, shelf-stable items without additives or refined sugars. Kencko engaged us to redesign & build their new Shopify 2.0 store.

Rebuilding on 2.0

We built Kencko’s Shopify store with performance at the core—prioritizing speed, stability, & scalability to support their fast-growing, global customer base. Using a lean, custom Shopify 2.0 theme, we optimized every element of the storefront for minimal load times & seamless cross-device functionality. We implemented advanced image handling, code-splitting, & caching strategies to ensure fast render times without compromising on visual richness. Combined with a modular component system, this setup not only boosts performance metrics but also gives the Kencko team the flexibility to update content quickly—keeping the brand agile without sacrificing user experience.

Diving into the science

We designed the PDPs to clearly communicate the health benefits of each product & its ingredients through a carefully structured, educational layout. Each PDP highlights the functional purpose—like boosting energy, supporting immunity, or aiding digestion—paired with a breakdown of key ingredients & their individual benefits. We used visual cues, icons, & concise, approachable copy to make complex nutritional information easy to understand at a glance. This thoughtful design empowers customers to make informed choices aligned with their wellness goals, while reinforcing Kencko’s authority in plant-based nutrition.

Optimizing to increase AOV

We optimized the checkout experience to improve AOV with a focus on clarity, speed, & intelligent upsell opportunities. We implemented smart features like dynamic cart updates, personalized product recommendations, & pre-selected subscription options. These enhancements encourage higher-value purchases without interrupting the flow to checkout.
