Wicklewood was founded in 2017 by Caroline Nadel. Caroline’s great great grandmother, Lilly De Jongh Osborne spent her life in Costa Rica & Guatemala pursuing her passion for collecting rare Mesomerican textiles, arts & crafts. Lilly’s extensive textile collection is one of the latest in the world & today forms the foundation of Wicklewood’s original designs that are sold all over the world.
Prior to engaging iakoe, the Wicklewood site hadn’t been optimised for search & the Domain Rating had only increased 3 points over the past 12 months. The brand was slowly picking up natural press but it wasn’t enough to move the needle & their rankings had remained relatively static. Our first deliverable was to conduct a Technical Audit & to optimise all category pages with longer tail keyphrases which truly reflected Wicklewood’s range, tone of voice & styling. We also conducted an internal link audit to ensure the internal linking on all of the category pages was optimised, creating relational links between relevant sub category pages which delivered an uplift in rankings for sub-categories.
