Maude is a modern intimacy & sexual wellness brand founded in 2018 by Éva Goicochea & Dakota Johnson with the mission to destigmatize sex through quality, simplicity, & inclusivity. Starting with a thoughtfully curated launch collection—condoms, lubricants, & a sleek personal massager—the brand has since expanded into bath, body, & mood-enhancing essentials designed for all bodies. Maude engaged us to redesign & rebuild their Shopify store on 2.0 to improve both conversion rates & theme flexibility to decrease their reliance on a development team.
We upgraded Maude’s theme to Shopify 2.0 to give their team more flexibility, control, & speed across their site. With a growing product line and a strong emphasis on visual storytelling, 2.0’s modular sections allowed us to build more dynamic, on-brand pages without relying on developers for every update.The upgrade enabled faster content updates, improved performance on mobile, & a scalable foundation for future campaigns.
We redesigned the PDP to strike the right balance between brand storytelling & conversion performance. By leading with clear product benefits, surfacing key ingredients upfront, & reducing scroll depth—especially on mobile—we created a faster, more intuitive shopping experience. The new layout removes unnecessary clutter while preserving Maude’s clean, elevated aesthetic, allowing users to absorb information quickly & make confident purchase decisions. This streamlined approach improves clarity without compromising brand integrity, making the PDPs feel both beautifully designed & performance-driven.
We optimized The Maudern—Maude’s editorial pltform—to prioritize email capture as its primary conversion goal, aligning content performance with measurable outcomes. Instead of relying solely on organic traffic as a success metric, we implemented strategic email capture points throughout articles, including contextual sign-up prompts & embedded forms designed to convert readers into subscribers. This shift allows Maude to justify ongoing investment in content by tracking the value of each subscriber & calculating conversion rates from content engagement. By turning storytelling into a performance channel, The Maudern now fuels list growth & supports long-term customer acquisition with tangible ROI.
