The Challenge

BFCM typically creates a sharp spike in demand - but once the weekend ends, even the most loyal customers can disengage. Sol de Janeiro wanted a way to keep Passport Members actively returning after BFCM, without relying on constant manual updates or short lived one-off offers. The challenge was to design an experience that felt exclusive, playful, & habit-forming encouraging daily return visits - while remaining operationally simple for the internal team to manage at scale.

Our Approach

We designed & built a Passport Members Week experience: a five-day, gift-unwrapping carousel that turns promotions into a daily ritual. Each night at midnight, a new gift is automatically revealed, while previously unlocked gifts remain visible building anticipation, curiosity, & momentum throughout the week. The carousel clearly communicates what’s live now & exactly when the next reward will drop, keeping engagement high & removing uncertainty. Behind the scenes, the entire experience is powered by smart scheduling using a 100% native Shopify build no third party apps required. The team sets the week’s offers once, controls timing, visuals, & copy with ease, & Shopify handles the rest delivering a high-impact loyalty experience with zero day-to-day maintenance.
