Flamingo Estate has become one of the world's most distinctive lifestyle brands, blending nature, craftsmanship, & storytelling across candles, pantry goods, bath products, & seasonal subscriptions. As the business continued to grow, the team partnered with us to rebuild its Shopify theme creating an ecommerce experience that preserved the brand's editorial aesthetic while improving site performance, conversion, & long-term flexibility.

Background

Flamingo Estate has never felt like a traditional ecommerce brand. Every interaction from photography & copywriting to product merchandising is designed to immerse customers in the world of the Estate.

As the business expanded, however, the storefront needed to evolve alongside it. The team wanted a Shopify theme that could better support new campaigns, subscription experiences, & merchandising initiatives while maintaining the rich editorial quality that defines the brand.

The challenge wasn't simply making the site faster or increasing conversion. It was rebuilding the ecommerce experience in a way that balanced commercial performance with the carefully crafted aesthetic customers had come to expect.

The challenge

The biggest challenge was balancing brand with performance.

Rich storytelling, immersive imagery, & editorial layouts are central to the Flamingo Estate experience, but they also introduce complexity from a UX & technical perspective. The new storefront needed to preserve the emotional quality of the brand while creating a faster, more intuitive shopping experience.

The team also wanted greater flexibility to launch paid campaigns, optimize subscriptions, & continuously improve the customer journey without compromising the overall design language.

Finally, every enhancement needed to contribute measurable commercial value, ensuring the storefront evolved through testing rather than subjective design decisions.

We rebuilt Flamingo Estate's Shopify theme around one core principle: every customer experience should feel beautifully considered while delivering measurable commercial performance.

A premium storefront built for growth

The new theme was developed to retain Flamingo Estate's editorial aesthetic while improving performance, scalability, & usability across the site. Flexible components allow the team to launch new campaigns, merchandising experiences, & landing pages without compromising the visual identity that makes the brand so distinctive.

Subscription experiences designed around convenience

We developed a custom subscription experience for Flamingo Estate's seasonal subscription boxes, including a bespoke delivery date picker that allows customers to choose delivery dates that fit their schedules. The functionality integrates seamlessly with Recharge & the brand's fulfillment systems, creating a premium subscription experience that feels every bit as thoughtful as the products themselves.

Product pages designed to maximize revenue per visitor

Rather than treating the product page as a static template, we continuously optimized every stage of the purchasing journey. Using customer behavior data, heatmaps, & A/B testing, we refined product imagery, merchandising, value proposition placement, & purchase flows to reduce friction, increase engagement, & improve revenue per visitor while maintaining the elevated visual experience the brand is known for.

Landing pages built for acquisition

To support paid media campaigns, we designed & developed high-performing landing pages that combine premium storytelling with conversion-focused UX. Through continuous experimentation, each page is optimized over time to improve engagement, reduce customer acquisition costs, & maximize return on ad spend.

Continuous optimization

Rather than viewing the storefront as a finished product, we established an ongoing optimization program where every enhancement is informed by analytics, customer behavior, & experimentation.
